Yuki Kalimba is crafted from dense elm wood with a beautiful pinkish hue.

Its slow growth, solid thickness, and weight ensure the instrument’s exceptional sound qualities—dynamic tones with an intense and long-lasting sustain, perfect for relaxation and calming the mind. The lower tines produce deep tones with strong vibrations, while the higher tones are short and bright, making them suitable for solo performances.

Yuki is tuned in diatonic E minor, which is also great for intuitive playing. With dimensions of 17 x 14 cm, it fits comfortably in adult hands. Yuki features 19 tines and a double-row design, making it convenient even for beginners or players with broader thumbs.

Description

Sound tuning

Maybe you remember the “do re mi fa so la si do” exercise from the music classes at your elementary school. It’s an indication of the seven tones in a diatonic scale. If you’ve just hummed this in your mind, you sang one octave. Ordinary, we tune these kalimbas to G major.
This kalimba is tuned in special way – in diatonic E minor tuning (E F# G A B C D).
