Kalimba Kurumi is made from beautifully grown sapwalnut. The uniqueness of the instrument lies in the contrasting coloring of the spring and summer growth of the wood, which was stained by minerals in the soil where the tree grew. The wood of this walnut is exceptionally hard, having grown under the pressure of a large canopy from an old tree.

Kalimba Kurumi is tuned in the diatonic E minor scale, suitable for intuitive playing. With dimensions of 17 x 14 cm, the kalimba fits comfortably in the hands of adults. It features 21 tones and is crafted in a double-row design, comfortable for both beginners and players with thicker fingers.
