Kalimba Tapio is made of alder wood with a beautiful pink shade. The sound of the instrument is soft, crystal clear, and meditative at the same time. It emotionally transports you to the middle of a mountain forest clearing and allows you to switch off and relax perfectly while playing.
We have chosen one of our favorite tunings for this instrument – G minor pentatonic (G A Bb D Eb), which is fully intuitive and easy to play. With dimensions of 17 x 14 cm, the kalimba fits perfectly in the hands of an adult. Tapio has 15 tones, and it is made in a two-row design, which is comfortable even for beginners or players with thicker thumbs.

Maybe you remember the “do re mi fa so la si do” exercise from the music classes at your elementary school. It’s an indication of the seven tones in a diatonic scale. If you’ve just hummed this in your mind, you sang one octave. Ordinary, we tune these kalimbas to G major. This kalimba is tuned in special way – pentatonic G minor (G A Bb D Eb).
